Give the gift of learn to sail classes!
Good for one Basic sailing course, which includes:
4 evening classroom sessions
2 days on the water with sloops
All training materials.
Successful completion of the course earns you the SEAS Basic Sailing Certification. In addition to the training, you will also get a one year membership to SEAS Bergen Chapter ($80 value).
Classroom Sessions:
Hawthorne, NJ: St. Clement's Episcopal Church (classes start at 7:00 pm)
Water Sessions:
Woodland Lake, Pequannock, NJ
Additional practice sessions:
Open sails are available at Greenwood Lake on our 19' O'Day or the Hudson River on our 27’ Catalina.

Timing and format (virtual classroom vs. in person) may change slightly due to circumstances beyond our control.
Terms:
Subject to availability. The gift must be redeemed at the time of purchase of a Basic Sailing Course using the provided gift card code.
The Bergen Chapter of SEAS Basic Sailing Courses are taught by SEAS National certified instructors, following American Sailing Association textbook and class materials, are intended to teach the basics of sailing to those who have never been on a sailboat as well as those with some experience.
The basic sailing course consists of 12 hours of classroom instruction in which you will learn:
Sailing terms
Points of sail
Sail trim
Launching
Mooring
Rules of the road
Boating safety.
Two days of water sessions, with actual sailing experience on a lake or reservoir are also included.
All graduates will have gained the confidence, experience and knowledge to sail a boat.
You must be in good physical condition and able to swim to take the course.
