Coronado 15
About the Coronado 15
SEAS Bergen owns 3 Coronado 15 sloops that are used for Basic Sailing instruction.
The Coronado 15 is a versatile, trailerable daysailer designed for recreational sailing and racing, developed by prominent yacht designer Frank Butler of Catalina Yachts. Measuring 15 feet in length with a beam of approximately 6 feet, it features a centerboard configuration that allows it to sail in shallow waters and be easily launched from a trailer. The boat typically accommodates two to four sailors and is known for being a forgiving, stable platform well-suited for beginners while still offering enough performance to satisfy more experienced sailors. During "water days" the boats are trailered to the water site.
